• Before Installing

You are going to cut a 90 mm diameter hole
Caution - Before Cutting Hole
Check that there are no ceiling supports or services above your selected installation area.
Caution - If installing in the Walls
Some baits include an attractant which may arose curiosity in pets. Please check manufacturer's labelling.


• Install Procedure

Check for the location of studs and services (shown here using a stud finder)

Take cutting template from the box. Pin the centre & rotate with a pencil - or – cut out 90mm circle and draw around the perimeter.

Mark out the 90mm hole with the template.

Cut the hole. Use an insulated handle, and exercise caution if you hit cutting resistance.
Caution - hidden services

Remove any obstructing material, such as insulation.

Take the base unit and push the wing tabs in, as shown here.
If you are fixing to fibre cement, e.g. outside under the eves, then you use the rubber seal provided.

Install the unit and then push the wings back out fully. Using a Philips head screwdriver to tighten the screws to clamp the unit in position. Do not over-tighten the screws.

The BaitSafe unit is now ready to use. Cut wall spike down in length (usually about 73mm) to suit space available.

You can insert the face plate using the key. Insert and twist to lock in the face plate.

The BaitSafe unit is now installed.

Screw the BaitSafe key onto any standard paint pole.
If the thread on your particular pole is loose, use tape on the thread to overcome. Be sure when you are using the pole that the unit is firmly fixed on the end. Check each time after use.

Secure Locking system
BaitSafe's patented locking system secures the bait and allows safety, not only you, but your children and pets.

Clean Up Procedure
Clean the dust and particles that come from this operation, so it does not contaminate the surrounding environment.

• Accessing the BaitSafe

Tighten the “Key” onto the head of the paint pole. If you have a loose thread on your paint pole tape the pole to the “Key”.
Check tightness before each use.

Hold the pole directly under the unit – NOT at an angle. If in the wall – at right angles to the wall.

Insert “Key” prongs into the slots of the fascia plate, pushing up gently, against the surface.

Turn anti-clockwise to unlock. Lower the unit carefully from the ceiling.

To replace the unit, insert the “Key” into the fascia plate and raise it up to the ceiling, at right angles to the surface.

Gently insert and turn clockwise to lock.

After locking, lower the pole, and you bait station is ready to use.

• Installing the Bait

When installing in the wall cut the stem length down to suit the available wall depth. For exterior (or fibre cement) use the rubber seal.
